Windows Phone 8.1 Preview

Not just Cortana but Windows Phone has a lot more features to discuss about.  This phone will be featured by newly designed lock screen, Start screen options, swipe-down Action Center and updated app store. The phone has been special due to its capability of upgrading phone calls to Skype video calls and new  swiping text input.

“More Start Options” is one of the features of Windows Phone 8.1.  There are three columns instead of two columns that used to be in other phone models. It features wider screen than i-Phone and we can use our own image for the background with transparent tiles. The new lock-screen looks like diagonal text is amazing to see and use in this phone.

“Action Center” is also another important features that is available in this phone, similar to the other Android and  iOS phones. Action Center helps to manage settings and notifications. Action Center can be swipe down from the top screen of the screen . 

“Updated Apps Store” can be found in a new design in 8.1 phone. The store in 8.1 will help us to manage our favoriate and important apps faster and in easier way.

Windows Phone 8.1 contains Calender app which shows the dates of a week including weather of particular days.

Windows Phone 8.1 shows what process is using the memory in the phone. Data Sense also shows the amount of data we’ve used. The Storage Sense allows us to store songs, photos, videos and other files. Battery Saver is one of the important features. Battery Saver will show the amount of memory that is being used by apps.  Wi-Fi Sense will let us to connect Wi-Fi automatically from the hotspots. And we also can make our friends use out home  Wi-FI without making them enter the password.
