World's First 3D Printer

Stratasys has launched the world's first multi-material full-colour 3D printer in the market. The printer has a special feature of "triple-jetting" technology. This means, droplets of three materials, seperate print runs and painting. It is expected that the Object500 COnnex3 3D printer would be a time saver for designers and manufacturers.
The market value of the printer has been set to $330,000(200,000 pound). The manufacturer says that multi-material objects can be printer now in hundred of colours. The base materials are rubber and plastics which can be used to create different types of products with varying flexibility, rigidity, transparency and opacity.

Stratasys marketing manager Bruce Bradshaw told the BBC: "This will help industrial designers reduce the time it takes to bring prototypes to market by 50%."
It is expected that the printer will help designers to enhance their level of creativity they've never had before.
Stratasys launched the world's first 3D printer in San Diego, California.
